Enjoy an exclusive bet365 pre-final interview with legendary players, Claude Makelele and Paul Ince, to discuss why they think their former teams will claim victory at the UCL finals on May 31st.
The UEFA Champions League Final in Munich is set to be an absolute cracker, with both Inter Milan and Paris Saint-Germain expected to leave it all out on the field as they vie to take home the cup.
Bet365, the official global partner of the UEFA Champions League, interviewed legendary football stars, Claude Makelele and Paul Ince, to discuss which team they believed had the best odds of taking home the cup this weekend.
Congolese-born Claude Makelele established himself as a world-class defensive midfielder and dedicated three years of his life to PSG from 2008 to 2011. The brilliant footballer explains why he believes his former team has what it takes to win the 2025 championship title.
PSG has the team dynamic needed to win:
To me, it’s not about one player. It’s about the squad. Luis and his coaches have done such a good job with the depth of the squad at PSG and building a really strong collective.
Makelele believes that both the coaching staff and the players have done the work - now it’s time to see if they are the better team on the day!
I don’t think they need to do anything different. Concentrate on their own strengths and play in the same style they have all season. I’ve really enjoyed watching them and I’m looking forward to seeing them against this very good Inter Milan side this Saturday.

Paul Ince cut his teeth playing for the likes of West Ham and Manchester in the mid-80s and early 90s. Despite his incredible journey, he has never forgotten his tenure as Inter Milan’s central midfielder, where he scored 13 goals in 73 appearances.
He believes that training, teamwork and consistency will win the day:
There are no huge stars, no big egos, just one group who play for each other.” Adding, “For me, it’s a big statement for football if Inter do win, it shows that experience and a well-oiled machine can be more impactful than young superstars and entertainers.
With a natural rhythm that contradicts their opponents and a team hungry to clinch the win, it looks like Inter are ready to take the cup home to Italy this weekend!
I think it [underdog status] works in Inter’s favour. It suits them to be underdogs, going about their business quietly. Nobody expects them to win, which I think suits them perfectly. I expect the upset – it will be anything but ordinary!
