Relax Gaming has combined one of its most popular slots, Snake Arena, with its successful jackpot concept, Dream Drop. Relax has used its Dream Drop mechanism in previous slots, and its newest one is Snake Arena Dream Drop, which rolled out last week. The original Snake Arena dropped in 2020 and immediately became a fan favorite, as it evoked memories of the original snake game from old-school mobile phones. The upgraded version with the Dream Drop feature has many of the same aspects, but with five jackpots up for grabs. Slot Specs Snake Arena Dream Drop is a 5-reel, 30-payline slot that’s playable on all devices. Highly volatile, the RTP is 94.5%, which includes a 12% contribution to the jackpots. Bets range from £.20 to £100 per spin. The original Snake Arena has a maximum payout of 2,758.8x the stake. The Dream Drop version has the same maximum, barring the jackpots. With the jackpots, the maximum win increases to £10,000,000. Symbols include four differently-coloured coins, a beer mug, ham, ring, and crown. There are two wilds that appear at different times—a regular-sized knight and a snake that can cover several reel positions at once. Wild Chase and Free Spins Features The Wild Chase feature can be triggered randomly during the base game. When that happens, the knight and snake characters appear at opposite ends of the reels and peek out at each other. If they’re on the same reel, the snake expands and turns the whole reel wild. When the knight and snakehead land on the same spin, the Free Spins round is triggered. A knight appears in a random position on each spin, and when players score a win, the snake slides to the knight, eats him, and expands by one position. Every time this happens, players win another free spin. If the snake bumps into itself as it travels, the round ends. If the snake expands from reels 2 to 5, players win 1000x their bet. Dream Drop A Dream Drop Jackpot Spin can be randomly awarded during the base game. When this happens, special reels appear and only certain symbols la

A penalty from UKGC once again illustrates the need to understand and process self-exclusion guidelines. The Penalty Gambling operator NSUS Limited has taken the hit from UKGC to the tune of £672,829 penalty for social responsibility and anti-money laundering failures, with the penalties more clearly illustrating the scope of accountability that an increasingly active UKGC is going to hold operators to. Added Warning Trading as GGPoker and operating as www.ggpoker.co.uk, NSUS is also absorbing an official warning for the failures. The Violations Failures include the inability to identify customers at risk of experiencing gambling-related harm; and failing to interact with customers identified at risk of experiencing gambling-related harm. Full Obligations The Commission expanded on the requirements of operators in the NSUS example by adding the preventative nature of operators’ obligations when NSUS failed to control their email marketing. Marketing Responsibility The Commission cited NSUS’ failure to “take all reasonable steps” to prevent certain materials from being sent to customers who had previously excluded themselves. The violation was in the emails, with 125 being sent to self-excluded customers. Managing Information Clearly, when customers self-exclude, operators need to take measures to control email and all other marketing materials as well, to the extent that they determine whether what they are sending out will continue to tempt customers to play. Editing or selecting marketing materials to be sent to specific customers seems like a reasonable obligation for operators to integrate to continue operating seamlessly and proactively. Controlling Information This is also a more prominent reminder of the need for operators to be aware of the materials they are sending out. AML Check Violations Further anti-money laundering violations identified by the Commission on the part of NSUS include failures to conduct adequate anti-money laundering and terrorist financing assessments, risk assessments and

Genesis Global casino sites will look a whole lot different in 2023. At least from the UK perspective, that is. This is because no more UK players can register at any of the 14 Genesis Global casinos online. This comes hot on the news that the company's CEO, Ariel Reem, has stepped down from his position. Players attempting to register at this company's UK brands will be met with the following type of response: You are trying to register from a country we do not accept bets from. We will not be able to proceed with your registration. Genesis Global confirmed in a written statement to all interested parties that it would promptly shutter all of its UK casino sites on Tuesday, December 6 2022. However, players have until December 30, 2022, to withdraw any remaining balance or winnings in their accounts. Based on information gathered from the UKGC (United Kingdom Gambling Commission), Genesis Global currently operates the following 14 sites in the United Kingdom: Pelaa.com Sloty.com Spela.com Spinit.com Kassu.com Casoola.com Casinolab.com Casinojoy.com Vegashero.com Casinogods.com Casinoplanet.com Casinocruise.com Casinomasters.com Genesiscasino.com Additionally, Genesis Global's corporate website is unavailable. Mismanagement and Rampant Violations Before Reem stepped down as CEO Genesis Global, the company was fined £3.8 million by the GBGC. This is a result of money-laundering failures and social responsibility issues being uncovered. In July 2020, the company's licence was suspended while its operations were reviewed. The GBGC scrutinised potential violations of section 116(2)(a) and section 116(2)(c)(i) of the Gambling Act. Genesis Global appealed the decision, and the suspension was lifted in October 2020. The review continued. After the GBGC completed the analysis, various breaches were uncovered, including social responsibility codes of practice, customer interaction issues, and violations in terms of the identification of customers. Ariel Reem Steps Down as CEO of the Company On Monday, December 5 2022

A multi-million-pound fine appeal has been rejected in the UK. The Appeal Rank Group subsidiary Daub Alderney had been appealing a £5.8m (€6.7m/$7.2m) fine from the UK Gambling Commission. The Fine The fine was originally issued in September 2021. The Commission’s investigation into Daub Alderney’s operations from January 2019 to March 2020 discovered a series of social responsibility and money laundering violations which the Commission attributed to a lack of appropriate measures in place to detect or prevent problem gambling. Grounds for Appeal Daub Alderney contested the Commission’s decision with the First-Tier Tribunal on the grounds that the financial penalty was “excessive, unfair, and disproportionate.” Upholding the Fine Judge Jacqueline Findlay dismissed the appeal, ruling the Commission’s fines to be a “fair and reasonable regulatory response” to Daub Alderney’s failings. Unfavourable Precedent A key precedent in Findlay’s decision was a previous £7.1m penalty for laundering and customer protection failures fine issued to Daub Alderney in November of 2018: “I find that there were serious breaches which were similar to the breaches for which a substantial financial penalty was imposed in 2018 and there are no new facts which persuade me that the decision was wrong.” Concurring with the Fine Thus, Findlay concurred with the propriety of the fine: “I find that the (Commission Regulatory) Panel did not err in law and complied with its statutory obligations.” Commission Spokesperson Speaks As for the impact of the fine rejection on the credibility of the updated regulation environment in iGaming’s largest and most prominent jurisdiction, Gambling Commission Chief Executive Sarah Gardner expressed her organisation’s reaction: “We do not take the decision to fine gambling companies lightly, but we will always take firm, decisive action against operators who fail to follow the rules aimed at making gambling safe and free from crime.” Daub Alderney’s UK Operations Acqui
