Tombola Partners up with EmmerdalePublished October 19, 2009
Tombola chasing 6.5 million viewers.
Tombola, the UK's number one bingo hall, has announced an exciting new sponsorship deal with Emmerdale, of one of Britain's favourite soaps. Beginning in November 2009 and continuing up until January 2011, this canny marketing move is designed to promote Tombola to Emmerdale's 6.5 million viewers.
Soap on the Sofa
Online bingo is increasingly attracting non traditional gamblers, such as young professionals and stay at home mums. This new, prime time, high profile TV deal is intended to attract the soap's viewers to join up with Tombola, taking advantage of great promos, like their £25 Money Match after sign up. With favourites such as bingo 80, bingo 50 and bingo 75 on offer, as well as other classic games and in-game chat, Tombola have much to appeal to this target group.
A Great Match
The soap, which promotes communal life, is an ideal partner for Tombola, who have been building an active online bingo community since their move to the web.
Phil Cronin, Chief Executive of Tombola said: "Tombola is the biggest online bingo site in the country and with this sponsorship we hope to continue to build our community of players."
Be a Winner
Rumour has it that the TV commercials will use real life Tombola members instead of actors and that opportunities to take part in the adverts will be promoted on the Tombola site.
So, not only will Emmerdale's viewers get the chance to join in one of the fastest growing online past times and be in the running for great promos and prizes, they could also end up becoming TV stars!
