Greentube launched a new and improved version of their popular Ski Challange Esports game, which has delighted players since the original game came out in 1998.

Greentube has officially launched the hugely popular Ski Challange Esports game. This new and improved game is available to play on desktop platforms and is free to download to iOS and Android mobiles.

Developed in collaboration with Swiss-Ski, the Austrian Ski Federation, and the German Ski Federation, it provides players with virtual access to some of the biggest and best courses in the world. An important upgrade is a fact that players can now compete against each other in Zermatt, which ties in perfectly with the start of the Alpine Ski World Cup race that begins on the Gran Becca course on October 29th.

As part of the celebration, Greentube will be at the public viewing area in Zermatt during the race days from 29th - 30th October, where people can play the game as they watch the actual event take place.

About Ski Challange

This popular Esports game allows players to compete against each other as they head down the virtual slopes. They can pick the ideal gear for each run in online and offline tournaments where big prizes await those at the top of leaderboards.

Ski Challenge runs all year round and has a huge worldwide following. The original game was the first ever from Greentube, way back in 1998, and the success looks set to continue for many more years to come.

Comments From Greentube

Michael Bauer, Greentube's CFO/CGO, said: “We like to say that life is a race, not a journey and the launch of Ski Challenge ahead of the World Cup race in Zermatt provides an adrenaline thrill in itself. We are delighted to be able to offer the track exclusively to our loyal community, and the new players are drawn to a fun and exciting competition.

“During the last year, those involved in creating the game have worked passionately towards our big goal of launching it at the start of the new skiing season. They have gone the extra mile, and I’m both proud of their achievements and grateful to work with such an amazing team. Everyone at Greentube has looked forward to this launch day, and I can’t wait to present the game to the public at Zermatt later this month. Although the game's release is a massive achievement, we are currently only at the start of a long development slope for the Ski Challenge. There are plenty of exciting updates in development for the franchise, and players will see some nice additions as soon as November and December of this year.”
