A William Hill betting shop in Leeds has been transformed into the first digital-only site. Local sports stars Nigel Martyn, Stevie Ward and Craig White, along with Emma Jones, a William Hill ambassador, attended the launch ceremony.
A New Experience
The William Hill site at Vicars Lane, Leeds, now provides a new interactive betting experience. The site is digital only, with no paper betting slips. Customers have access to digital research tables, where they can read The Racing Post and even charge their phones simultaneously.
Another innovation taken from the casino market is providing scent solutions, where computer-driven fragrances can fill the shop.
William Hill's advantages include real-time customer numbers information to understand peak and slow times better. Cameras provide information on betting patterns and popular sports to help provide optimal streaming content. An 'Own Your Game' area allows customers and staff to interact around safer gambling issues.
A second digital-only site is due to open in Glasgow later this month.
